Madograms are similar to traditional variograms (see Semivariance Analysis), except that the absolute difference between zi and zi+h is used rather than the square of the difference as for traditional semivariance. The formula thus becomes
Madograms (both isotropic and anisotropic) appear in the Autocorrelation Window, on the Madogram tab. Pressing the Expand button on this tab brings up the Madograms window:
The Cloud/Scatter, right-click menu, and other commands work here as they do for the Variograms Window.
