GS+ Map Zooms
Map surfaces (1D, 2D, and 3D as below) can be zoomed to provide a close-up (or far away) view of
contour intervals or transition zones. Zooming is performed by the mouse from the
Map Image Window. This zoomed map was then
printed on a white background to a
JPEG file. While maps are being actively zoomed in the Map Image window, the mouse
location (x, y, z) is reported in the Location Panel of the
Map Image Window just as it is for
actual-size maps. There are no preset zoom ranges – zoom as
close as needed at infinite increments.
